SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 43 (COQUITLAM) invites applications for the Indigenous Cultural Facilitator.

This temporary, full‑time role (35 hours/week) supports Indigenous education by developing and delivering cultural programming, collaborating with teachers, and engaging families and community partners across Coast Salish and other Indigenous groups. The facilitator will maintain records, report to the Indigenous Education Department, and work with district staff to foster a meaningful Indigenous

Qualifications

• Grade 12 graduation and completion of one-year post-secondary education program in Indigenous Education is required.
• Thorough knowledge of Indigenous cultures, traditions and values demonstrated through Indigenous ancestry and/or two years of involvement with Indigenous culture and traditions.
• BC Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement an Indigenous Cultural program for students and staff.
• Liaise with classroom teachers and school administrators to support Indigenous Art/Culture delivery.
• Facilitate group and class programs in Indigenous studies under teacher direction.
• Promote cultural awareness and engage parents and community partners in the Indigenous program.
• Maintain records and monthly reports for Indigenous Education Department.
