RainCity Housing is seeking an Indigenous Cultural Liaison – Support Worker to assist Indigenous and non-Indigenous tenants on the Sunshine Coast. Qualifications

  • Diploma in community social services.
  • Two years of related work experience with emphasis on mental health, addictions, homelessness or social services.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Naloxone Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Research and connect Indigenous tenants with Indigenous supports and cultural activities.
  • Walk with tenants to participate in community events and engage Elders for cultural connection.
  • Collaborate with the Indigenous Cultural Liaison team to plan and run programming and supports.
  • Advocate for tenants and connect to external community resources and services as needed.
  • Orientate new tenants to the ICL role and available cultural services.
