Job summary

Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA) in Ontario seeks a Community Development Manager to lead, coach, and support a group of employees across programs, ensuring all work aligns with ONWA’s Strategic Plan and program standards.

The role focuses on capacity building with membership organizations and partners, managing budgets and reporting, and delivering multi-year plans while promoting Indigenous leadership and wellness. This is an existing role we are looking to fill.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Social Sciences, Indigenous Studies, Women's Studies, Health Studies, or related field or combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five years in a Supervisory/Management role.
• Minimum three years supporting Indigenous communities and families.
• Strong administrative and supervisory capabilities.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills with negotiation ability.
• Experience building partnerships with senior leadership and community stakeholders.
• Budgeting, program management, and reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support program staff to meet ONWA's objectives.
• Ensure programs are implemented and aligned with standards and strategic plan.
• Build capacity with member organizations and partners across Ontario.
• Coordinate workshops, presentations, and conferences; manage resources and timelines.
