Job summary

Long & McQuade Limited is seeking instructors to teach music lessons as independent contractors at our Calgary location. Stores commonly host on-site Lesson Centres offering lessons in piano, guitar, bass, drums, woodwinds, brass, strings and voice.

Candidates should have a music degree/diploma or Grade 8 RCM with Grade 2 Rudiments, plus prior teaching experience with all ages, and familiarity with standard teaching methods and curricula for private or group lessons.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one of the following: music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College, or a minimum Grade 8 RCM with Grade 2 Rudiments, or professional equivalency.
• Must have previous teaching experience with all ages of students.
• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum in the private or group lesson situation is required.
