Incoming Supplier Quality Control Inspector

Job summary

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our Supplier Quality Team. The QC Inspector will be responsible for receiving inspection of components and finished products to ensure they comply with company standards and industry regulations. This role is essential for detecting defects in coming and prevention of escapes to the shop floor.

Responsibilities
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products against drawings and specifications.
  • The ability to use various measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Document and record inspection results, including details of defective products, re‑work, and scrap.
  • Ability to review and interpret C of C’s and inspection reports from suppliers.
  • Identify non‑conforming products and create a non‑conforming report.
  • Adhere to FAA, EASA, and AS9100 standards.
  • Support the SQE’s while collaborating with cross‑functional departments to support containment activities.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized inspection area.
  • Support the SQE’s as required.
Qualifications
  • Mechanical and/ or Electrical Technologist Diploma with a Quality Assurance Background is preferred.
  • 5–7 years’ proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with GD& T knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools and testing equipment.
Skills
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous and observant to spot defects, flaws and/or inconsistencies.
  • Experienced in Data gathering and support SQEs in analysis.
  • Effective written and verbal skills for reporting and collaborating with different teams.
  • Competency with basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office) and quality management software.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and prioritize inspection to support Production.
