Job summary

DoorDash offers a 12-week Software Engineer internship hosted onsite at the Toronto, ON office. Interns will work with experienced engineers to develop, maintain, and ship products, directly impacting customers and merchants.

You will learn through mentorship, contribute to real projects, and participate in leadership speaker series and social events, with a final presentation at internship end. May/June 2027 start dates are available.

Qualifications

Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent, graduating between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
Experience with databases (e.g., AWS, SQL).
Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Proficient in at least one OOP language (Python, Java, Kotlin).
Experience writing clean code, working with version control, and unit testing.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and ship technical elements with mentor support.
Act on feedback, coaching, and mentorship from your mentor and team.
Actively learn about the elements you contribute to.
Collaborate with your team to solve problems for customers and impact the business.
Participate in intern programming – Leadership Speaker series, social events – virtually and in-person.
Present your summer learnings during a final presentation at the end of the internship.
