Job summary

Tikinagan Child & Family Services is seeking an In-House Counsellor for Agency Operated Homes. The role provides individual and group counselling; ensures youth safety, health, and well-being; and supports structured living for boys and girls in care.

Starting salary is $62,764 with emphasis on Indigenous culture knowledge, confidentiality, and willingness to travel. The position requires no remote work and a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Our Agency Operated Homes are residential settings for boys and girls who have been experiencing difficulties with life at home and are in need of care and structured living which the group homes are able to provide. The In-House Counsellor is to provide the support and care of these clients as well as their safety, health and overall well-being. It is the In-House Counselor responsibility to promote the best interest of the youth and to provide stability by providing individual counselling and to provide group sessions with each client.
