Job summary

A senior care organization in Calgary is seeking Health Care Aides to provide personal care and support to residents. The ideal candidate must have a Health Care Aide program certification, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience working with seniors in a community health setting. This role requires a commitment to upholding organizational values while ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors in the community health services setting.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification recommended.
• Ability to perform tasks that are necessary for the position, e.g. lifting/transferring clients.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident/client/family concerns and ensure appropriate action taken.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Observe & report to the Client Service Supervisor any concerns regarding client safety.
• Engage with other agencies involved in resident/client care as directed.
• Attend in-services to develop knowledge and skills.
• Uphold and promote the organization's values and philosophy.
