Job summary

Maude's Family in Montreal is seeking a caregiver for a baby, who will also handle light housekeeping and other domestic tasks. Permanent, full-time position, 30 hours per week with shifts 6:30 am–9:30 am and 12:30 pm–3:30 pm; wage is 36 CAD per hour; two days off typically Saturday and Sunday, with some flexibility.

The role requires punctual, reliable, and organized individuals with 1–2 years of relevant experience; languages: French or English. Option to stay with the employer at no cost.

Qualifications

• 1-2 Years of experience with children or equivalent experience (through work or studies) is required.
• General High school diploma – Completed.
• Punctuality, reliability, judgment, sense of responsibility, good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, experience with children.

Responsibilities

• Care for a baby and perform related housekeeping and domestic tasks.
• Assist with household duties and care for children in the absence of parents.
• Flexible shifts with two days off usually on Saturday and Sunday; ability to stay with the employer at no cost.

Hours 6:30 am to 9:30 am and from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Salary: 36 $/h. Two days off: usually on Saturday and Sunday, but this may vary depending on the employer’s shifts, so flexibility is essential for the employer. The caregiver may have to take care of the house and take care of the children in the absence of the parents. Languages: French or English.

*Experience related to employment:

1-2 Years of experience with children or equivalent experience, either through work or studies as a teacher, nurse, midwife, or psychologist is required.
