Job summary

Nurse Next Door is seeking caregivers to provide in-home care across Halifax, delivering compassionate support to seniors and families. You will assist with daily living activities, ensure safety, and uphold our Happier Aging promise while building trusted relationships with clients and teams.

The role offers flexible scheduling, 24/7 client support, and a competitive hourly rate of $17.00 to $20.00, with benefits for 30+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Background or Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search
• Negative TB test
• Proof of education
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Creates Happier Aging experiences and client focused care in home and community settings
• Delivers on our Brand Promise by owning the client’s experience and bringing peace of mind to families
• Assists clients with activities of daily living: meal prep, personal care, light housekeeping, errands, companionship, transportation
• Meets safety standards, uses equipment safely and accurately
• Provides premium care to clients and families
• Reviews the care plan before visits and completes records accurately
