Job summary

Qualifications

  • Two years of recent dialysis experience required.
  • Dialysis Assistant course is an asset.
  • Ability to read basic medical terminology and understand sterility concepts.
  • Ability to assemble equipment for tasks and functions.
  • Willingness to learn and follow technical concepts related to dialysis equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare supplies and access bundles; set up and prime dialysis machines.
  • Strip bloodlines and dialyzers; clean/ disinfect machines between treatments.
  • Clean and move equipment; assist patient transfers and repositioning.
  • Transport and set up dialysis equipment for treatments in various hospital areas.
  • Deliver and pick up specimens from the Lab as required.
