Job summary

A healthcare provider in Brockville is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services for stroke patients. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and relevant clinical experience. Qualifications

  • Clinical expertise in stroke and/or neurological rehabilitation populations is essential.
  • Aphasia Institute’s Supported Conversations for Adults with Aphasia preferred.
  • Knowledge of current Canadian Stroke Best Practices is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality rehabilitation for stroke patients.
  • Collaborate with community service providers for optimal client care.
  • Maintain competence and participate in ongoing education.

Skills

Understanding of the role of regulated and unregulated healthcare professionals
Demonstrated knowledge in neurological rehabilitation
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Proven flexibility and high level of initiative
Team player with excellent organizational and planning skills

Education

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Member in good standing of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
