HOOPP, Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan, based in Toronto, is seeking a Calculations Specialist to provide calculation support for events like retirements, terminations, and transfers. The role requires reviewing, validating, and processing calculations within QA controls, and collaborating with Pension Services and other teams to ensure accuracy and timely service.

You will apply your mathematical and analytical skills, maintain procedures, and contribute to continuous process improvements

Competenze

• University degree or Community College diploma and/or a combination of equivalent training, education, and experience.
• Three to five years progressive experience in the pension industry with at least two-three years at a pension benefits specialist level.
• Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC) and/or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist Program (CEBS) would be an asset.
• Knowledge of pension plan administration and governing legislation (Pension Benefits Act, Income Tax Act) and other general pension principles.
• Ability to follow, analyse and understand calculations is imperative for this role.

Mansioni

• Provide calculation review and processing of cases based on QAM calculation controls for all events.
• Be a resource to other areas of Pension Services for ongoing calculation support.
• Maintain high working knowledge of all events/processes for on/off-system calculations.
• Escalate and resolve processing/calculation issues within the SLA timeframe.
