Qualifications

• 19 years or older.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada (B.C. Sheriff Service requires that you be a Canadian citizen or a Permanent Resident).
• Grade 12 graduation or equivalent.
• Valid Class 4 unrestricted B.C. Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the courts and its users.
• Coordinate court appearances, including high security situations.
• Transport in‑custody via ground and air.
• Manage courthouse detention cellblocks.
• Conduct jury management and selection.
• Gather intelligence and conduct risk assessments.
