Job summary

Verge Immigration Services Inc. is seeking an Immigration Case Manager in Winnipeg to draft immigration forms and correspondences, manage client files, and support applications for permanent residence and work permits.

You will handle data entry, document organization, and client communications in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. The role requires at least one year of immigration experience, strong organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and drafting immigration forms, correspondence, letters of explanation, and supporting documents.
  • Opening, updating and organizing client immigration files (paper and electronic).
  • Reviewing and revising documents for format, spelling, grammar, and accuracy.
  • Maintaining electronic and physical file management systems.
  • Managing calendars, emails, and client follow-ups/status updates.
  • Understanding IRCC procedures and provincial processes.
  • Assisting in residential/commercial real estate not required; supporting permanent residence and related pathways.
  • Conducting research on eligibility and program requirements.
  • Performing general administrative duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Preparing and drafting immigration forms, correspondence, letters of explanation, and supporting documents

  • Opening, updating (including data entry and scanning of documentation), organizing, maintaining, and closing client immigration files and matters (paper and electronic)

  • Reviewing and revising format, spelling, grammar, completeness, and accuracy on all final documents and application packages

  • Maintaining an efficient electronic and physical file and document management system

  • Maintaining calendars, email management, and managing client interactions, follow-ups, and status updates

  • Understanding methods and procedures for IRCC applications, portals, document checklists, and related provincial processes

  • Assisting in the preparation, completion, and submission of residential and commercial real estate is not required; instead supporting applications for permanent residence, work permits, study permits, sponsorships, and related pathways

  • Performing various online and paper research (eligibility, program requirements, policy updates)

  • Performing general administrative duties as required


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Detail-oriented

  • Mature attitude and deadline driven

  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A desire to learn and grow as an Immigration Case Manager

  • Minimum of one year of experience in the immigration field is mandatory


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience with Canadian immigration processes (Express Entry, PNP/MPNP, work permits, study permits, family sponsorship, refused cases)

  • Familiarity with IRCC online portals and application systems

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

  • Paralegal, immigration-related certification, or equivalent education

  • Fluency in languages in addition to English

  • Experience with client/case management software
