Job summary

Shared Health’s Diagnostic Imaging Central unit in Winnipeg is seeking a casual, in-person Processing Clerk. You will screen requisitions for completeness, reach out to referring physicians or patients to obtain missing information, and accurately transcribe PDF documents into electronic files.

The role requires strong attention to detail, experience in high-volume medical offices, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A satisfactory criminal records check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years in a high volume computerized medical office including processing large volumes of requisitions while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience with RightFax and Laserfiche considered an asset.
• Experience in a Diagnostic Imaging Department is considered an asset.
• Experience with RIS/PACS is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Screen requisitions for completeness and contact referring physician offices, other health professionals or patients to gather missing data.
• Transcribe PDF into electronic files accurately and efficiently.
