Could you be the full-time Integrated Control Center (ICC) Verification & Validation (V&V) Designer in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our railway signaling projects are fully verified, validated, and integrated, meeting both Alstom's core technical processes and the project’s contractual requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as sub-systems validation teams, ICC V&V Managers, and external stakeholders), design overall test plans and scenarios, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of preparing and performing test sessions, as well as managing V&V work products under configuration management, but also support defect investigations and site tests when applicable.

  • Designing overall tests, including test plans, test cases, objectives, scenarios, and steps, incorporating realistic customer and operational contexts.
  • Preparing for test sessions, including aligning impact analysis reports and scheduling validation meetings.
  • Performing test sessions, running test procedures, and producing detailed test reports and associated change requests.
  • Participating in customer acceptance tests and site tests, if applicable.
  • Specifying, designing, developing, and validating test environments and tools.
  • Supporting defect investigations detected in factory or site environments.
  • Estimating V&V workload to support overall project schedules.
  • Ensuring test traceability versus requirements according to the Requirements Management Plan.
  • Providing support to sub-systems validation teams during execution.
All about you
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience working with signaling in areas such as V&V, Design, or Application.
  • Experience or understanding of Integrated Control Center (ATS, SCADA, Security), Interlocking, PTC, CBTC, or Cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of test environment and tool design.
  • Familiarity with configuration and requirements management processes.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate in French is an asset.
Things you’ll enjoy
  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling.
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.
  • Contribute to innovative projects.
  • Utilise our inclusive and flexible working environment.
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award‑winning learning.
  • Progress towards leadership or technical expert roles.
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
