Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. on the QE II project in Halifax is seeking an aICAT Coordinator to support the integration of communications, audiovisual, security and network infrastructure on site.

You will assist with RFIs, shop drawings, submittals and coordination documentation, track project records, engage with consultants and trades, and help maintain commissioning and closeout deliverables while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, engineering technology, information technology, telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of related experience, including co-op, internship, or construction project experience.
  • Basic understanding of network cabling systems, including copper, fibre optic, security, and audiovisual cabling.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation is an asset.
  • Interest in building systems, technology infrastructure, telecommunications, or low-voltage systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the administration of requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, submittals, and coordination documentation.
  • Helps track RFIs and project documentation to support timely responses and issue resolution.
  • Assists with quality management processes, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Supports the preparation and maintenance of commissioning documentation and project closeout deliverables.
  • Participates in site inspections and coordination meetings with consultants, designers, engineers, and trade contractors.
  • Maintains project records, reports, operation and maintenance manuals, warranty information, and closeout documentation.
  • Builds positive working relationships with project stakeholders and supports a customer-focused approach.
  • Learns and follows company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Other duties as required.
