Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Toronto is seeking a senior data integration engineer to design, implement, and operate IBM MDM solutions and data pipelines in a hybrid role requiring 2 days in the Toronto office.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in CS or related field and 7+ years in enterprise data environments, with hands-on work in IBM MDM, Informatica MDM, Match360, and MQ messaging; experience with batch and real-time integrations and survivorship rules is essential.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and operates IBM Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• Designs, implements, and maintains data pipelines and processing systems for batch and real-time data integration.
• Manages corporate apps and data in the cloud and handles planning, migrating, monitoring, and management of enterprise cloud systems.
• Supports data policies, data quality, and data sharing rules.
• Monitors and analyzes information systems to identify improvements and new technologies.

Please note this role is Hybrid , 2 days/week in office in Toronto. Out of province candidates should consider relocation for this role. This role is not Virtual or Remote.

Designs, develops, and operates IBM Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, leveraging extensive hands-on expertise in data modeling, out-of-the-box (OOTB) services, customizations, match and merge processes, survivorship rules, and security controls to support the end-to-end master data lifecycle. Designs, implements, and maintains data pipelines and processing systems to support batch, real-time, and near real-time data integration, with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and observability. Manages corporate apps and data in the cloud and technical tasks involved in planning, architecting, migrating, monitoring, and management of enterprise cloud systems.

• Supports the creation and enforcement of policies for effective data management.
• Formulates techniques for effective data management, quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.
• Devises and implements efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.
• Supports the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards. Establish rules and procedures for data sharing.
• Monitors and analyzes information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
• Ensures digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses.
• Troubleshoots data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications.
• Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
• Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
• Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any other relevant domain
• Experience with IBM MDM or Informatica MDM, Match360, MQ messaging
• Experience with batch integration and real time integration with MDM
• Experience with PME Customizations and Survivorship Rules
• Experience with requirements, solution design, configuration, implementation
• Typically between 7+ years of relevant Experience in enterprise environments (ideally Financial Industry)

Salary** : **

$70,000.00 - $150,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
