Job summary

Allianz Partners is seeking an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Business Analyst to drive secure user access across the organization. You will manage business role-based access, SoD checks, recertifications, and JML processes while collaborating with stakeholders to sustain IAM roles and initiatives.

The role reports to the Head of Identity and Access Management and offers a hybrid schedule with two in-office days in Cambridge, Ontario or Richmond, Virginia.

  • 3-5 years' proven experience as a Business Analyst in Identity and Access Management (IAM) or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, processes, and best practices.

Job description

We are seeking an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Business Analyst to support secure and efficient user access across the organization. You will manage business role-based access, ensure segregation of duties, conduct recertifications, and oversee Joiner/Mover/Leaver processes. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to maintain business roles and support local IAM initiatives.

This role, reporting to the Head of Identity and Access Management, is perfect for a skilled IAM operations professional. You'll have the opportunity to influence global strategies and make impactful decisions in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

Way of Working

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement Monday - Friday to include two in-office days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) at our Cambridge, Ontario OR Richmond, Virginia locations.

What You Will Do
  • Support secure and timely user access management in alignment with the IAM Target Operating Model.
  • Support local IAM requirements and related activities to include requirement deep-dives.
  • Develop and maintain Business Role Taxonomy and role-based access controls, including SoD checks.
  • Support IAM model implementation across business units and regions, including IAM Domains and Business Roles.
  • Create and maintain Business Roles and related control documentation.
  • Create and maintain Segregation of Duties (SoD) matrices.
  • Conduct user access recertifications and attestations (UARRs).
  • Serve as the primary contact for IAM-related matters.
  • Partner with Service Owners to create Business Roles and align entitlements.
  • Support periodic access reviews and role updates with Service Owners.
  • Ensure timely execution of Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML) processes, including access revocation.
  • Manage Business Roles and IAM Domains within the Business Role Management tool.
  • Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics, and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly and in alignment with our standards for data governance, security, and ethical use.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' proven experience as a Business Analyst in Identity and Access Management (IAM) or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, processes, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with IAM technologies and systems, such as user provisioning, access controls, authentication mechanisms, and directory services.
  • Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Exposure to tools for requirements management, process modelling, and documentation (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

What We Offer

Cambridge, Ontario Canada: Annualized base pay range is $59,580 - $87,500 CAD

Richmond, Virginia US: Annualized base pay range is $69,300 - $101,500 USD

Actual base pay may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. Employees may also qualify for performance-based bonuses, merit increases, and other incentives based on individual and company performance. The availability and amount of these additional compensation elements are determined by company policy and may vary.
