Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking an Application Engineering Specialist to analyze project requirements, develop optimized hydronic system solutions, and work with sales to deliver technical value for HVAC projects. You’ll focus on energy efficiency and appropriate product selection to meet client needs.

You will review drawings, assist with site visits, and prepare proposals while collaborating with engineering and product teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing or mechanical systems design with HVAC hydronic focus.
• At least 1 year in a customer-oriented technical role such as internal sales engineering or application support.
• Experience interpreting mechanical drawings, control schematics, and hydronic system documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review HVAC drawings and specs to develop advanced hydronic solutions using Armstrong products.
• Interpret control schematics and P&ID diagrams for optimal product selection and integration.
• Support field partners with system optimization recommendations and energy efficiency goals.
• Prepare technical proposals and documentation for Armstrong offerings.
• Participate in site visits and design reviews with sales personnel.
• Translate field data into actionable design strategies and proposals.
