Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Workplace Conciliator and Investigator to independently assess workplace concerns and lead investigations involving discrimination, harassment, and human rights matters. You will collaborate with HR, Legal, and security teams to ensure fair, defensible outcomes while maintaining compliant processes.

The role supports a hybrid work model with 1–3 days on-site in Toronto. You are fluent in French and English, have strong experience in workplace conflict resolution, and can tailor

Qualifications

  • Experience in workplace conflict resolution, conciliation, investigations, and handling discrimination, harassment, violence, and human rights matters.
  • Ability to manage complex or high-risk workplace matters in a regulated organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking to assess risk and build defensible outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess workplace concerns and determine appropriate resolution paths (early intervention, conciliation, informal or formal investigation).
  • Lead timely, thorough investigations with evidence gathering (interviews, documents, correspondence).
  • Identify risks and provide practical recommendations to support compliance and reduce future risk.
  • Partner with HR, Employee Relations, Legal, and Business leaders to manage sensitive matters.
  • Prepare clear case materials and maintain governance, reporting, and file management.
