Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Ontario is seeking a Structural Drafter/Designer. In this role, you will apply your drafting expertise on various heavy industrial projects, working closely with a collaborative team and client interactions. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT. This position offers a flexible work environment and is based out of Thunder Bay.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in structural drafting and design.
• Experience in Heavy Industrial and/or Mining projects.
• Understanding of Ontario and National Building Codes.

Responsibilities

• Produce models and drawings from conceptual design to completion.
• Foster and develop client relationships.
• Attend sites to verify construction progress.
• Develop drawings for industrial buildings, pipe racks, and foundations.

Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Proficiency in REVIT

2D and 3D modelling

Strong understanding of steel foundations

Positive attitude

Education

College degree/diploma in civil engineering technology or structural engineering
