Nesto Group in Vancouver seeks a skilled Data Engineer to own the Commercial Analytics data platform in Microsoft Fabric. You will oversee ingestion, modeling, security, and serving for Power BI reports, client extracts and internal tools, steering initiatives from stakeholder conversations to production.

You will migrate Azure Data Factory pipelines and legacy reports to Fabric, implement CI validation, and partner with teams to scale data architectures while delivering reliable analytics.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of data engineering with production pipelines and data models.
• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric preferred; Azure Data Factory with Synapse/Databricks, or Databricks on another cloud.
• Advanced SQL on large relational datasets, including views, stored procedures, performance tuning and incremental/merge patterns.
• Strong dimensional modeling experience using Kimball.
• Experience building datasets for Power BI; familiarity with DAX and Power Query.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end data initiatives: gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver to production.
• Decide on ingestion, transformation, storage and modeling architectures.
• Design and maintain ELT pipelines from SQL Server, Azure SQL, REST APIs and SaaS platforms.
• Build dimensional data models for analytics and reporting.
• Develop Power BI semantic models and supporting code paths.
• Implement data validation, monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Tune queries and pipelines as data volumes grow.
• Manage access control, provisioning, and data sharing.
• Document lineage, architecture and data processes.
• Review code and set engineering standards.
• Evaluate Fabric features, perform PoCs and drive adoption.
