Job summary

WSP in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, seeks an experienced Project Manager – Hazardous Materials and Indoor Environmental Quality Consultant. Hybrid work and home-office options support a flexible schedule.

Lead projects from inception to delivery, manage budgets and timelines, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Atlantic Canada. You will drive client relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver practical environmental health and safety solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience managing hazardous materials assessments, indoor environmental quality, or industrial hygiene projects.
• Strong understanding of federal, provincial regulations and industry standards.
• Experience preparing technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
• Strong project management including budgeting, scheduling, scope management, and client communication.
• Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a client-focused approach.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead hazardous materials, indoor environmental quality, and industrial hygiene projects from proposal through delivery.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources for successful client outcomes.
• Conduct and oversee building assessments, inspections, investigations, and reporting.
• Support clients in identifying EHS risks and implementing practical solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated environmental and infrastructure projects.
• Mentor junior professionals and support a culture of technical excellence and learning.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
• Contribute to healthier workplaces and improved environmental performance across Atlantic Canada.
