Job summary

The City of Calgary is seeking a Workspace Designer to create flexible, functional interior spaces for city facilities. You will provide integrated design services, space planning, and FF&E coordination for a range of municipal projects.

Qualifications include a 2-year diploma or a degree in Interior Design with relevant experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and client-focused communication. The role supports flexible work options and operates within a collaborative, safety-conscious public-service

Qualifications

  • 2-year diploma in Interior Design with 3+ years' commercial office interior design experience.
  • Or degree in Interior Design with 1+ year experience in commercial interiors.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required (intermediate level).
  • Experience with FF&E, space planning, and moves coordination is an asset.
  • Strong communication and client-focused orientation; good teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full range interior design services including space and asset management, space planning, and design.
  • Design, administer, coordinate projects through programming to occupancy.
  • Identify materials, finishes, budgets, and project coordination.
  • Coordinate furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E).
  • Develop and implement corporate design standards.
  • Maintain project drawings in AutoCAD.
