Tetra Tech seeks an Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our I&C team in Vancouver, BC. You will develop and implement PLC, HMI, and DCS systems for industrial facilities, contributing to control strategies and system integration.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Instrumentation & Controls with a BC-registered P.Eng and 5–10 years of relevant experience, including PLC/PAC/DCS design and commissioning. A hybrid work model and strong collaboration are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Instrumentation & Controls or related field and P.Eng. designation in BC.
• 5–10 years progressive experience as an instrumentation & controls engineer.
• Experience with PLC, PAC, DCS design, programming, and commissioning.
• Experience with major vendors (Schneider, Rockwell) preferred.
• Ability to specify and procure control system hardware/software.

Responsabilités

• Develop control strategies and input to P&IDs, control specs, and commissioning plans.
• Design and integrate automation systems (PLC, HMI, DCS, networks).
• Participate in control panel design, BOMs, wiring, and programming.
• Perform FAT, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Gather field data, prepare drawings, estimate costs, and support schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers across disciplines.
