The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) seeks a Market Fundamentals Analyst for an 18-month term to support forecasting, market analysis, and resource adequacy studies guiding Alberta’s electricity market.

You will work with the Generation Forecasting team to research trends, run simulations, prepare analytics, and deliver data-driven insights, with a hybrid work model (office Tue-Thu).

Qualificações

• Relevant forecasting/analysis in energy markets.
• Experience with market assessments and simulations is preferred.
• Experience with REM/OPF/LMP modelling is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Support development of long-term outlook and market analytics.
• Prepare insights to support Alberta’s electricity market and planning frameworks.
• Contribute to forecasting and analysis for stakeholders.
• Analyze Alberta/interconnected electricity markets and related commodities.
