Job summary

A community service organization is looking for a Crisis & Resource Counsellor in Toronto, Ontario. This role involves providing crisis intervention and supportive counseling to older adults and their caregivers. You will work collaboratively with other service providers while maintaining a client-centered approach. Required qualifications include a Bachelor degree in Social Work and at least two years of related experience. This position offers a hybrid work model and an engaging team environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years related experience in telephone counseling/support and crisis intervention.
• Demonstrated experience working with older adults and caregivers.
• Strong ability to build relationships with individuals.

Responsibilities

• Respond to referrals/requests for service and information.
• Provide supportive counselling and crisis de-escalation.
• Assess risk and safety for callers.
