Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a Creative Designer for the In-House Creative eCommerce team. You will concept, design and produce engaging creative across print, digital, social, CRM, web, paid media and other eCommerce channels. You’ll drive motion and video content and adapt creative across channels with social-first instinct.

You’ll leverage AI-enabled tools and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure brand consistency and high craft while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or related discipline and 3+ years of professional design experience.
• Strong portfolio showing digital-first design, motion and video across channels.
• Proficient in After Effects and Premiere Pro to create polished motion graphics and short-form content.
• Solid skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Deep understanding of digital and social design, formats, responsive design across channels.

Responsibilities

• Concept and creative development across digital, social, web, CRM, paid media, print, animation and video.
• Produce motion and video content using After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• Stay ahead of social trends; translate trends into brand-appropriate creative.
• Contribute to ideation, storyboard, design exploration, motion and final production.
• Incorporate AI-enabled tools to support ideation and production where suitable.
• Collaborate with copywriters, designers and marketing to deliver cohesive work.
• Ensure brand consistency and high standards of craft.
• Drive innovation and new tools/ways of working.
• Manage multiple projects and files using online project management tools.
• Coordinate with external agencies and partners as needed.
