Job summary

Thales in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Senior CloudOps Developer who bridges development and operations to design, automate, and operate the cloud platform powering the CipherTrust Data Security Platform Service. This role combines strong software engineering and operational skills to ensure reliable, scalable, and observable systems are delivered and maintained in production.

You will design, deploy, and maintain the platform with a focus on security, performance, and resilience, participate in

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or CloudOps
3+ years building and operating cloud-native platforms
Experience deploying and supporting cloud-based applications
Ability to think in a Cloud Services manner
Experience with orchestration toolsets

Responsibilities

Support the full application and infrastructure stack for high availability and security
Design, implement, and maintain observability and monitoring with dashboards
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
Lead or support disaster recovery planning and testing
Define and improve SLOs/SLIs to match business goals
Produce monthly operations reports on health and incidents
Use Datadog to analyze logs and configure metrics and alerts
Develop and maintain automation and internal tooling
Deploy and maintain service layers, safely implementing changes
Collaborate with architects and engineers to review designs
Review peer changes for quality and compliance
Document automation and operational procedures for maintainability
