Join Our Team as a Hybrid Caretaker!

We are seeking a dependable and professionalHybrid Caretakerto join our team at a residential building located in Burnaby, near Gilmore Station. In this dynamic role, you will provide a combination of caretaker and janitorial services, handyman duties, and building maintenance responsibilities, while responding promptly to client needs and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Site Maintenance: Manage and supervise the site. Monitor and maintain the garbage and recycling rooms. Coordinate and supervise annual and seasonal building services and inspections.

  • Access & Security: Handle fob and enterphone programming.

  • Administrative Duties: Collect funds as directed, post notices, send emails, and submit caretaker reports.

  • Property Manager Relations: Maintain consistent communication with the property manager to ensure the building is secure, well-maintained, and operating smoothly. Conduct chemical checks for the hot tub (training will be provided).

  • Tenant Relations & Management: Respond promptly to tenant questions and requests. Report any concerning issues with tenants or residents to the property manager.

  • Exterior Grounds: Pick up litter around the entire exterior areas of the building, including sidewalks, courtyards, and driveway ramps.

  • Floor Care: Sweep and damp mop hard surface floors using a neutral cleaner.

  • Entrance / Lobby / Common Areas: Clean door frames, disinfect door handles, polish entry code panels, and vacuum walk-off mats.

Requirements
  • Strong administrative skills

  • Flexibility, availability, and the ability to address requests promptly

  • Janitorial experience is an asset

  • Proven experience in janitorial, caretaker, or related fields

  • Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.)

  • Experience working with hot tubs or swimming pools is an asset but not required
