Job description

Job Title: HVAC Technician

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to read, interpret, and execute drawings, schematics, and blueprints. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, overhaul, and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems and their component parts. You will review blueprints and building codes to determine work details and procedures, assemble and install systems and components, assist with the design of multi-head VRF systems, and make detailed material lists from drawings and site layouts. Additionally, you will start and commission systems, test lines for leaks, and record readings. Diagnosing malfunctions, directing apprentices, keeping records, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety procedures are also key duties.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Install, repair, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Review blueprints and building codes to determine work details.
  • Assemble and install system components.
  • Assist with the design of multi-head VRF systems.
  • Make detailed material lists from drawings and site layouts.
  • Start and commission systems, test lines for leaks, and record readings.
  • Direct apprentices on the installation of piping systems.
  • Keep records of assignments and produce detailed work reports.
  • Diagnose and fix malfunctions by replacing or repairing controls, electric wiring, or other parts.
  • Comply with industry standards, safety manuals, and safety rules.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of HVAC service experience in commercial, institutional, or high-rise settings.
  • Journeyperson Red Seal Ticket.
  • Service HVAC experience.
  • Ability to travel to site.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Good communication skills.

Work Environment

The work environment involves working in existing commercial buildings and infrastructure around business tenants, requiring a presentable appearance. Occasionally, tasks may need to be completed outside of business hours to minimize noise disruption. Our culture embraces a "work hard, play hard" ethos.

Pay range: $100000.00 - $151257.00/yr.
