Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified HVAC Service Technician to provide expert support for O'Dell product lineup, perform installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites across our service territories. You will collaborate with Sales and manufacturers, travel for training, and assist with warranty processing while maintaining safety standards.

Valid G-class driver’s license with clean abstract
Willing to travel within service territories
3–5 years of commercial/industrial HVAC service experience
Solid computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Be the expert voice for customers on the O'Dell product lineup
Startup and commission new systems alongside contractors
Offer virtual or phone support to installers and technicians for wiring, piping, programming, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with Sales to assist with product layout and integration
Connect with manufacturers for technical information and support materials

Startup and commission new systems alongside contractors, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely
Offer virtual or phone support to installers and technicians for assistance with wiring, piping, programming, and general troubleshooting
Collaborate with our Sales team to assist with product layout and integration across a wide range of products
Connect with our manufacturers to obtain technical information and support materials
Attend customer sites to provide hands‑on support during installs, commissioning, troubleshooting, and additional responsibilities as required
Assist with processing warranty claims by working closely with contractors and our internal team to keep the process moving in a timely manner
Travel to manufacturer facilities for in‑depth product training as required
Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Licensed 313A Refrigeration Mechanic and G1 Gas Technician
Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades
Hold a valid G-class driver's license in good standing and clean driver's abstract
Willing and able to travel within our service territories (territory dependent on location of hire)
Three to five (3-5) years of experience with commercial and industrial HVAC service
A solid understanding of computers and Microsoft Office, including openness to learning - computers and electronics are a large part of how we support modern HVAC systems
Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
Detail-oriented and reliable, following through on deadlines and commitments to customers
Dependable, punctual, and ready to lend a hand to team members
Meet the physical requirements of the role, which include: Lifting up to 50lbs, Climbing stairs and ladders, and working at heights, Bending, pushing, pulling, and kneeling, Sitting for long periods of time while driving, Working in extreme temperatures (heat and cold)

Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in HVAC systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and customer support, while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Proficient in technical communication and collaboration with sales and contractors to facilitate seamless product integration and service delivery.
