• Third year or above Apprentice required for HVAC/Refrigeration Technician role.
• Knowledge of Industrial Combustion and Chillers is an asset.

Job Summary:

The HVAC/Refrigeration Technician will report directly to the Service Administration Manager and will support a team of Service Technicians within the PEI Region. The specific responsibilities of the position will encompass each of the following KPI's.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain professional customer relations.
• Provide equipment service, maintenance, and repairs for existing customer base.
• Assist in solving equipment problems and development/implementation of solutions to prevent future occurrence.
• Recommend ways to reduce costs and eliminate unnecessary expenses.
• Participate in staff meetings.
• Ensure Environmental Health and Safety Policies are adhered to.
• Conduct monthly vehicle inspections.
• Aid and review quotes with Quotations for the service Department.
• Downtime to be approved by Regional Supervisor.
• Wages as per the collective agreement.
• All other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Third year or above Apprentice
• Industrial Combustion, Chillers, Large Capacity Boilers knowledge is an asset.
• Excellent time management, planning, and organization skills.
• A good understanding of Ainsworth products and services.
