Job Title: Human Resources Supervisor

Overview

Human Resources Supervisor to lead ER, stabilize HR processes, and support Dayforce go‑live for a global manufacturing organization. This is a fully on‑site Senior HR Supervisor role overseeing core HR operations with a strong emphasis on employee relations, manager support, and Dayforce implementation. The role manages HR administration, onboarding/offboarding, documentation, payroll flow, light international support, and the Office Coordinator. The ideal candidate is confident, experienced, and able to operate independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. 1‑year contract, full‑time, on‑site in Richmond (Monday–Friday) with top‑tier benefits.

What you will be doing
  • Serve as the on‑site HR lead: manage employee relations, coach managers, and support performance discussions using consistent and fair HR practices.
  • Own HR administration: maintain employee files, process changes, prepare documentation, support compliance, manage onboarding/offboarding, coordinate with IT and facilities, and keep processes running smoothly.
  • Support and troubleshoot Dayforce during go‑live: verify PTO balances, workflows, employee setup, training, and issue resolution.
  • Manage the Office Coordinator through coaching, structure, and effective delegation.
  • Support payroll flow for Canada (Dayforce) and the US (third‑party provider), ensuring accurate data and alignment with finance.
  • Liaise with global consultants in Germany and the US to maintain communication, resolve issues, and support cross‑border needs.
  • Lead HR projects such as leadership development, training rollout, SharePoint updates, and documentation improvements.
  • Maintain visibility across the facility, build trust with teams, and support employee engagement.
What you must have
  • 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience with strong, hands‑on employee relations, including investigations, terminations, coaching, and performance management.
  • Proven experience owning HR operations end‑to‑end (HR admin, documentation, compliance, onboarding/offboarding, policy, payroll flow).
  • Prior experience supervising or supporting direct reports and partnering closely with leadership in an on‑site environment.
Nice to have
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments where confidence and clear communication are key.
  • Exposure to US or international HR support (Germany preferred).
  • Payroll experience (Canada and/or US — Dayforce ideal but not required).
  • Experience designing or delivering management training, development programs, or leadership enablement.
Salary/Rate Range

$70,000 – $90,000

Other Information: Work Environment
  • Full‑time, 5 days per week on‑site in Richmond (no hybrid or remote options).
  • Standard business hours with occasional early‑morning calls for Germany when needed.
  • 12‑month full‑time term with strong benefits (RSP, extended health, 3 weeks vacation, paid Christmas shutdown, personal days).
