Overview

Our of our clients is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join their dynamic HR team at their plant near Brantford, ON. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional passionate about employee relations, compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted HR partner by advising employees and leaders on policies, employee relations, and workplace best practices.
  • Lead and manage workplace investigations, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and timely follow-up on all cases.
  • Guide supervisors and managers through performance discussions, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR functions throughout the employee journey — from onboarding to exit.
  • Coordinate and track employee accommodations, ensuring compliance with ESA and Human Rights legislation.
  • Monitor changes in employment laws and support HR initiatives that promote consistency and compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or a related field.
  • CHRP designation (completed or in progress) is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of HR experience, emphasizing employee relations and issue resolution.
  • Prior exposure to a manufacturing or industrial work environment is an advantage.
  • Thorough understanding of ESA, Human Rights, and investigation protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information and handle sensitive matters discreetly.
