Overview

Human Resources Manager — We are seeking a strategic and experienced HR professional to join our client's HR team, based in Clairmont, AB. This role is central to building a more professional, cohesive HR function that aligns with the national model and integrates with HSE and HSG teams. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership, including the HSE Operations Manager and the Admin & Systems Manager, and will play a key role in shaping employee experience, talent strategy, and succession planning.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to national HR initiatives focused on employee engagement, talent retention, and succession planning
  • Build and strengthen relationships with First Nations communities, supporting inclusive talent acquisition and regional presence
  • Administer employee benefits programs and provide foundational payroll support
  • Lead succession planning efforts and manage employee relations, including disciplinary actions and leave coordination
  • Handle sensitive employee matters such as disciplinary actions, terminations, and support for STD / LTD cases
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience and a relevant degree
  • Experience working with First Nations communities (preferred)
  • Strong familiarity with manufacturing environments (non-union)
  • HRIS experience — Dayforce is key; SharePoint experience is a strong asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across teams
  • Travel across Canada to connect with teams and support training and engagement (approx. monthly)
  • PCP designation or equivalent payroll experience an asset
