Overview

Ride the next mile with us! We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team and support our stations located on Montreal's South Shore. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in labor relations, conflict management, and investigation. The role also requires excellent knowledge of pan-Canadian labor standards.

Responsibilities
  • Employee relations: Work closely with managers to support employee relations management and proactively resolve conflicts.
  • Team management: Support managers in managing, motivating, and developing their teams, ensuring a healthy and productive work environment.
  • HR policy and procedures: Participate in the development and implementation of internal procedures and policies, ensuring their compliance with labor standards.
  • Internal movement management: Track changes in employee status and manage promotions, transfers, and internal mobility.
  • Performance and attendance: Contribute to performance management by providing support in evaluations and managing work attendance.
  • Accident file management: Manage and monitor files related to workplace accidents, including preparing files for internal and external audits.
  • Compliance and HR strategies: Ensure the application of human resources management principles and organizational strategies within the service center and stations.
  • Administration of working conditions: Manage the administrative aspects of working conditions and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Employee experience: Contribute to improving the employee experience and promote a positive work environment.
  • Reporting and analysis: Produce statistical reports on HR performance indicators and analyze them to support strategic decisions.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in human resources management, with significant expertise in labor relations and conflict management.
  • Interpersonal skills: Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with employees and managers at all levels.
  • Communication: The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and experience with HR management systems, particularly HRIS systems such as Workday and Dayforce (an asset).
  • Personal qualities: Rigorous, autonomous, creative, and able to work as part of a team in a dynamic and demanding environment.
Working conditions
  • Position located on the South Shore of Montreal, with occasional travel between stations.
  • Work in a highly operational environment, requiring responsiveness and effective priority management.
