Position Overview

In this newly created position, you will provide support in several areas including employee relations, HRIS system updates and maintenance of employee records, attendance management, benefits, pension while ensuring that company policies, procedures and Collective Agreements are followed. Integrity, attention to detail, strong customer service and interpersonal skills are all crucial for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support and guidance to employees as it relates to company policies and Collective Agreements along with compliance with applicable legislation
• Benefit and Pension administration – including system updates, monthly billings, reports (weekly, monthly and annual yearend), inquiries from staff, and other administrative responsibilities.
• HRIS (Dayforce) information integrity. Responsible for ensuring that employee information is correct, provide reports and help in the maintenance and updates in the system
• Work closely with the payroll team to ensure that weekly and bi-weekly payrolls are correct
• Develop and provide monthly reports, as requested.
• Collaborate and participate in process improvement and projects
• Prepare and deliver training for when necessary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a post secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
• Minimum one (1) to three (3) HR Generalist experience.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads, this position will entail frequent interruptions and process changes that will require system updates are ensure completion in the appropriate deadlines.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Work independently and in a team environment
• Familiar with HRIS systems (Dayforce) and MS Office Suite
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Preference will be given to those who are bi-lingual in French (written and spoken)
