YOUR NEW ROLE

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive HR Coordinator to support the day‑to‑day operations of our Human Resources function. The ideal candidate will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HRIS management, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient HR processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Recruitment and Selection

Coordinate and support recruitment efforts including posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.

Onboarding & Offboarding

Prepare, process, and organize HR documents to ensure a smooth employee experience, including conducting orientations and managing exit interviews.

HRIS Management

Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Administration
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Administer employment letters, including job offers and employment verification.
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate employee information is shared in a timely manner.
Training and Development

Support the delivery of internal training/development sessions and track employee participation and feedback.

Health & Safety Support

Assist in implementing workplace safety initiatives and maintaining compliance with health and safety policies.

Policy & Compliance

Help communicate HR policies and procedures to staff and ensure alignment with employment standards and organizational practices.

Employee Relations

Provide general support to employees and managers regarding HR policies, performance processes, and workplace concerns.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education requirements
  1. Must have a Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience requirements
  1. Must have 1–2 years of experience in an HR role.
  2. Experience in the non‑profit sector is considered an asset.
Technical skill requirements
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  2. Must have experience with HRIS systems (Experience with BambooHR is a plus).
  3. Familiarity with BC and Canadian employment standards and workplace regulations.
  4. CPHR designation an asset or working towards the designation.
Soft skill requirements
  1. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  2. Excellent customer service orientation.
  3. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and work independently.
  4. Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
  6. Meticulous attention to detail, especially in maintaining files and records.

The salary range for this position is $53,600 to $67,000, and it will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
