Job Description

Allied Universal is dedicated to creating safe, inclusive, and high‑performing workplaces for our employees and clients. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator on a 6‑month contract to provide essential administrative and HR support to our Winnipeg office.

Position Overview

As part of the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the HR department. This role focuses on HRIS data management, HR administration, and assisting the recruitment team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and thrives under deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee information in the HRIS with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR and recruitment teams, including preparing employee documentation, onboarding packages, and reports.
  • Assist with the coordination of new hire onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Support recruiters with posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and conducting pre‑employment checks.
  • Prepare HR metrics and assist with reporting on staffing, turnover, and compliance.
  • Ensure employee files and records are maintained in compliance with company policy and employment legislation.
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR support or coordination role, ideally within a fast‑paced or high‑volume industry such as security, logistics, or service operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with a proactive, team‑oriented approach.
