The Opportunity

Leavitt Industrial Group is looking for a motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Kitchener or Cambridge, Ontario on a one year term contract. As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will provide administrative and operational support to the People & Culture team, and assist with day-to-day HR functions such as onboarding and benefits administration.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support in the areas of employee relations, administration, and HR policy and compliance
  • Ensure completion of onboarding documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS data
  • Update employee information and track employment changes such as promotions, transfers, and terminations
  • Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries
  • Serve as a first point of contact for HR-related questions
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and company events
  • Assist with performance management documentation and tracking
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in human resources or business administration
  • CPHR designation (or in process of obtaining) is a strong asset
  • Experience working with an HRIS system is a strong asset
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and to work independently with minimal supervision

The base pay range for this role is: $62,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience.

This is a hybrid role based in Kitchener or Cambridge, Ontario.
