Job summary

Associated Engineering’s Calgary office seeks a capable Human Resources Coordinator to support HR operations across Alberta. The role covers recruitment, onboarding, training coordination and confidential records management, with hybrid work options depending on position.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in HR, an HR degree or diploma, excellent communication, and the ability to travel Alberta as needed. The firm emphasizes development, benefits, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout Alberta periodically.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of HR functions.
  • Supporting recruitment including creating, and maintaining job postings, reviewing resumes, phone screening, booking interviews, interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Supporting our onboarding process.
  • Coordinating annual training.
  • Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Other HR tasks and projects as assigned.

What you’ll be doing:

  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards is an asset.
  • Ability to travel throughout Alberta periodically.
