The role is responsible for the employee wellness, recognition and social events/programs, as well as managing HR metrics and reporting. About The Role

The HR Coordinator provides essential administrative and logistical coordination to HR programs and processes. This role supports key functions such as learning and development, employee life cycle and records management, and internal communication platforms. The role is responsible for the employee wellness, recognition and social events/programs, as well as managing HR metrics and reporting. With a strong focus on organization and detail, the HR Coordinator helps ensure smooth HR operations that support a positive employee experience across Alberici Canada. This position is primarily office‑based in Burlington, Ontario, with occasional visits to project sites. Flexible work arrangements including remote work may be available in alignment with business needs and the company’s remote hybrid work policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides essential administrative support and logistical coordination to various HR programs and processes
  • Supports administrative processes related to the employee life cycle
  • Coordinates logistics for learning and development programs, such as booking and scheduling internal or external training, enrolling in courses
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates logistics for employee wellness events and programs, including booking venues and agenda development
  • Manages and maintains internal communications such as updating internal webpages, employee/manager guides, and policy updates
  • Manages and administers the Remote Work Policy, including requests for approval
  • Coordinates HR program meetings, including agenda and minute management
  • Answers questions and provides information to employees and leaders related to HR administration, policies and procedures
  • Responds to HR matters with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm
  • Acts in confidence and with trust when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Leads and administers various Employee Wellness Programs, including wellness programs, mental health initiatives, reward and recognition programs, and employee social events
  • Manage and administer various recognition programs, such as annual anniversary recognition and Alberici’s employee rewards platform
  • Plan, coordinate, schedule and book various corporate social events, working with other team members and/or committees to plan and deliver successfully
  • Continuously improves HR programs and policies, including researching best practices and recommending updates based on employee feedback
  • Develops and maintains HR standard operating procedures, checklists, guidebooks, metrics and reporting
  • Support and lead other HR programs and initiatives as required; this includes supporting other HR team members, recruitment, learning and development, training or otherwise
  • Act as a core team member of the HR team, providing support and guidance to other HR team members, creating a collaborative and productive team environment
  • Contribute positively to Alberici’s culture, values, and safe environment
Qualifications & Experience
  • Post‑secondary education in Business, Human Resources, Communications or related field is required
  • 1‑3 years of Human Resources or administrative support experience required
  • Knowledge and experience with human resources programs, processes, and employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with HRIS systems (or willingness to learn)
  • Working towards or obtained Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader preferred
  • Ability to travel within the greater Toronto area; Ontario driver’s license and/or appropriate mode of transportation to project sites required
