Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years HR generalist experience in a manufacturing setting with knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and management consultation.
  • CHRP certification is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels.

Reporting to the Head of HR, Canada

This position acts as a strategic partner to business leaders at one of our manufacturing facilities. The HR Consultant operates within a highly matrixed global environment and works closely with the HR Centres of Excellence to deliver integrated HR initiatives. This role combines strategic advisory support with hands‑on execution, helping leaders build high performing, engaged, and inclusive teams.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with leadership teams in the manufacturing environment to understand business objectives, challenges, and opportunities, and develop people strategies to address them.
  • Educate managers and leaders on evolving workforce trends and identify opportunities for initiatives that proactively respond to these changes. This may include organization-wide competency assessments, capability and expertise gap analyses, and resulting alignment actions.
  • Review employee survey data and other analytics to make recommendations that will improve employee engagement and culture.
  • Provide coaching to leaders on leadership strategies, organizational effectiveness, and collaboration to achieve results within the Canadian and global matrix.
  • Serve as a talent advocate by developing a deep understanding of succession pipelines, development needs, and career opportunities.
  • Partner with managers and leaders to embed a continuous focus on a high-performance culture to enhance organizational capabilities and build a robust talent pipeline.
  • Partner with the organization to lead the talent management process, including development reviews and organizational planning, to accelerate leadership development and enhance technical expertise at all levels.
  • Counsel managers and employees to ensure appropriate and consistent application of Siemens Healthineers operating policies and procedures.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct or participate in special investigations, studies, projects and other HR initiatives as needed to meet overall company and department strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner closely with the HR Centres of Excellence (Total Rewards, Labour Relations, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and Global Mobility) and the broader Global HR team to support achievement of the business’s long‑term goals.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives and partner with managers and leaders to effectively communicate business strategies, goals, values and performance expectations.
  • Up to 15% travel for organizational meetings; additional travel may be required as needed.
  • As this role supports one of our manufacturing facilities, it is a full-time, in‑office position.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Business Administration or Organizational Development a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of human resources generalist experience within a manufacturing setting, demonstrating in‑depth knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, and management consultation.
  • CHRP certification is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization.
  • The ability to be flexible, self‑directed, motivated and able to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Must possess above‑average proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • The proven ability to objectively coach employees and management through routine and complex employee relations matters.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively; strong problem‑solving skills; excellent decision‑making and analytical skills; and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to use data and information to make recommendations and resolve problems or issues effectively, using judgment consistent with established standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation.

Expected Compensation

$85,000 - $121,500

Factors which may affect starting compensation within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
