About the role

We are actively searching for two Human Resources Business Partners. One role will be permanent, the other a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. In this strategically focused role, the HRBP will act as a key partner in shaping a resilient and high‑performing workforce, leading initiatives that align people strategies with operational goals, proactively managing workforce‑related risks, and implementing programs that drive talent development, retention, and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary HR contact for employees and supervisors, addressing inquiries or concerns, conducting investigations, and assisting with conflict resolution while ensuring confidentiality and fairness.
  • Provide advice on HR policies, procedures, and employment standards; communicate updates to ensure consistent and compliant application.
  • Conduct HR orientation for new hires, emphasizing safety culture, workforce expectations, and company values.
  • Support leaders in goal setting, performance reviews, and improvement plans; manage probationary reviews and disciplinary processes.
  • Deliver coaching and training to supervisors, focusing on engagement, safety leadership, and succession readiness.
  • Analyze trends in turnover, absenteeism, and skill gaps; recommend proactive solutions to mitigate workforce risks.
  • Maintain accurate employee files, administer exit processes, and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
  • Liaise with Occupational Health to manage short‑term disability and return‑to‑work programs aligned with safety and productivity goals.
Key Skills & Knowledge

College diploma in Human Resources or a business‑related field.

Relevant Experience

A minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience. Experience in the mining/natural resources industry or construction/engineering is an asset.
