Experience


  • Thorough knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices attained through a minimum ofone to two (1-2) years professional experience, preferably in a large unionized setting.

  • Strong background and knowledge across various Human Resources functions such as: recruitment and selection; staff engagement; labour and employee relations; change management; compensation; and performance management.

  • Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors would be an asset.


Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)


  • Bachelor of Commerce degree (HRStream) preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field supplemented with a Human Resource Management certificate (current enrollment in program accepted).

  • Courses in management skills would be an asset.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience, as deemed appropriate by the Hospital, may be recognized in lieu of the above.


Certification/Licensure/Registration


  • Certified Professional in Human Resource Professional (CPHR) designation preferred.


Qualifications and Skills


  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems and software applications (All Microsoft Office applications, internet software, and database applications).

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand French is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated client-service orientation.

  • Mature, professional manner.

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentational skills.

  • Ability to lead projects and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to deal with shifting priorities and simultaneous demands.

  • Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.

  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with various levels of staff, both internal and external to the organization.
