Position

HR Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities
  • Provide general HR support and lead new employee orientation programs.
  • Report to the HR Manager and process information to support the management team.
  • Coordinate with the Talent Acquisition team to hire across the organization.
  • Assist with the administration of benefits programs and the Short-Term Disability Claims program.
  • Support job postings, process hourly time records, and maintain grievance and employee records.
  • Assist with recruitment processes and coordinate employee relations activities (safety events, hearing tests, United Way campaigns).
  • Provide administrative support for the division and participate in safety programs and systems.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma with a minimum of three (3) years of human resources and/or administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with UKG/Kronos is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a unionized work environment is an asset.

The salary range provided is for base salary only.
