Overview

Dayforce Specialist

Temporary Project (30 days) part-time

Remote Toronto, Canada

We are seeking an experienced Dayforce Super User or Specialist for a critical, time-sensitive business process review project focused on improving our client’s employee onboarding process.

This role requires deep, practical knowledge of the Dayforce HCM platform to inform and drive process standardization and technical efficiency. The goal is to quickly (within 30 days) review the current state of our onboarding—from requisition to employee start and then to time-to-revenue—and recommend specific Dayforce automations and improvements for implementation in a timely manner.

Estimated duration is 30 days 8-10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dayforce Expertise : Provide subject matter expertise on the Dayforce HCM platform, particularly the onboarding module and its configuration capabilities.
  • Process Analysis & Recommendation : Work with our business process experts to review current, often-decentralized onboarding processes across different groups (primarily Technicians, lab, and corporate) and recommend specific, actionable improvements and automations leveraging Dayforce functionality.
  • System Integration : Understand and advise on the integration of Dayforce with other systems like UKG, (pre-employment checks), and WFM (Workforce Management).
  • Data Flow & Compliance : Advise on how Dayforce can standardize processes, forms, and workflows to improve data flow and compliance, especially for varied certification and background check requirements for roles like Technicians.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Potentially participate in virtual discovery workshops with key internal stakeholders, including Corporate TA, regional representatives, Safety, and site-level Admins / Quality teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience as a Dayforce Super User, Administrator, Consultant, or Technical Specialist with hands-on experience in configuring and optimizing the Dayforce Onboarding Module.
  • A strong understanding of HR and talent acquisition processes (from hire to revenue) and how HCM systems can drive efficiency.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex, variable business processes (like checks and hand-offs between site admins, Quality, and corporate teams) and translate them into standard, efficient workflows within Dayforce.
  • Familiarity with the types of pre-employment checks, including background screens and drug / alcohol testing, that are often managed outside of a core ATS (like Disa) and how their results are integrated and adjudicated.
